About the Event:




Micro Drone (Extreme Fliers) is hosting a Free Drone Building Workshop for visitors to Makers Central - the UK’s premier event where Makers and Creators come together. We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to help make this an unforgettable experience for our participants! This is a hands-on, creative workshop where participants of all ages will learn how to build their very own drones, and we need your help to guide them through the process.

 

What sort of role can I do as a volunteer:

We are looking for energetic volunteers with a passion for technology. You’ll play an important role in ensuring that the workshop runs smoothly by:

​

• Assisting with sign-ups: Help participants check in and sign up for the workshop.


• Supporting makers during the workshop: Be on hand to provide guidance and assist with drone-building tasks whenever needed. 


• Fostering a fun and engaging environment: Be positive and approachable to make sure everyone has a great time!


 

Requirements:

​

• 16 years + 

• No drone experience needed, a brief training will be carried out prior to the event. 

• Great communication skills and a passion for working with children.


• Friendly, outgoing, and approachable attitude.


• Ability to stay engaged and proactive throughout the day.


• A willingness to help wherever needed and contribute to making the workshop a success.
